Building off a community wide survey from the fall of 2012, the board recently engaged three architectural firms to create a new vision for the redevelopment of the community league building. The solutions sought to improve current deficiencies in the building such as the lack of natural light, the nondescript and slightly hidden main entrance, the lack of barrier-free access, and the inefficiencies of the floor plan on the main level. These concepts put forward were not meant to be final solutions but rather a means to generate ideas and discussion about what is important in the revitalization of an existing community building.
With the survey and the concept design work complete, we hope to garner further feedback on the needs and wishes of the community and move the design work towards a final and realizable solution. Look for an open house in the new year when you can come in person to view the designs, ask questions and provide feedback.
