New City of Edmonton Infill Website

We know Edmontonians are passionate about their neighbourhoods and express
a variety of viewpoints around how infill can best be integrated into
Edmonton’s mature communities. Over the last six months, City
Administration has been working on a comprehensive portfolio of marketing
resources and communication tools to support infill construction in
Edmonton.

To improve the accessibility of information about the many process changes
and educational tools in progress to improve infill activities, we have
launched a new infill website at cityofedmontoninfill.ca

The new website was designed to speak to our distinct audiences and clearly
communicate the information that is important to them. To address the
varied views and opinions on the topic, we focused our messaging on three
groups: communities, builders, and homebuyers.

Our new website talks to each of these groups while always returning to our
main point: that infill will breathe life into our established
neighbourhoods by providing more housing options for people in every stage
of life. We’ve also favoured the use of visual tools, like infographics and
videos to make the information even easier to digest.

Additional resources and information will be added to the site as we
implement items in Edmonton’s Infill Roadmap and resulting detour items.
Soon to be released items include:

–   A new residential infill construction guide
–   Publications to support the neighbour experience during land development
–   A video series with builders demonstrating infill best practices
–   An infill stories feature with videos and images showcasing Edmonton
residents who are choosing infill homes

This website will be a powerful tool in communicating the place infill has
in Edmonton’s future, and, after a lot of hard work, the website is now
available.
