2023 Canadian Road Cycling Championships in Old Strathcona

The 2023 Canadian Road Cycling Championships are coming to Old Strathcona on Monday June 26.  Do North Events would like you to know about some road closures that may affect you.

  • Road Closure Times – Whyte Avenue Single Lane Traffic
    • Monday, June 26, 2023
    • Closed from 10:00 to 15:00
    • Reopened for afternoon rush hour 15:00 – 18:00
    • Closed from 18:30 to 23:00
  • Affected Routes
    • Whyte Avenue East / West Single Lane Traffic
    • Residents & Businesses between 105 Street to 107 Street
    • Expect an influx of visitors and spectators

Community Access

  • Expect delays & plan ahead
  • Resident access permitted:
    • Via one-way travelling west on 84 Avenue
    • Via one-way travelling east on 83 Avenue
    • Use 106 to move north & south within closed zone
    • No exit
    • Police, flaggers, and volunteers controlling entry

Spectators

  • Visit the Whyte Avenue strip from 105 Street to 107 Street
  • Consider parking south of Whyte Avenue to avoid traffic
