Parks & Playgrounds

Mill Creek Ravine forms our eastern border and parts of our community extend into the ravine as well as into the main valley of the North Saskatchewan River. Other park areas within or neighboring the community are Queen Elizabeth Park, Nellie McClung Park, End of Steel Park, Tubby Bateman Park (AKA the Tot Lot), the playgrounds at the community league (Strathcona Park) and King Edward Schools, the fields at Old Scona Academic High School, Wilbert McIntyre Park (AKA Gazebo Park) and Light Horse Park. The smaller park areas of Fred A. Morie Park, E.L. Hill Park, and Walter Polley Park provide refreshing green spots to sit.
