New overflow tunnel 88 Ave, west of Mill Creek

The EPCOR Drainage Services will perform construction of the new overflow tunnel along the alignment of 88 Avenue, west of Mill Creek. The work will involve constructing a 2 meter long (900 mm diameter, approximately 10 meters deep) tunnel, and an additional shaft (3 m wide) on the west side of the bicycle trail.

This work will take approximately four months to complete and is scheduled to begin the week of November 13, 2017. The multiuse trail will be disrupted at the work site location as indicated on the map in the attached Notice (some lanes will be completely closed, others will have limited access). Signage stating construction dates, contact person and a detour map will be posted on either side of the construction site and the trails from the residential area.
