You’re invited: Neighbourhood renewal concept plan

Come see what Strathcona could look like after neighbourhood renewal construction is complete. This will be the first look at the draft of a concept plan that will be used to help the City of Edmonton in its efforts to replace our streets, sidewalks and lights and enhance the safety and enjoyability of our community.
The City will be looking for feedback on the concept plan related to:
- Locations and measures to reduce speeding and shortcutting
- New bike infrastructure, proposed for 87 Avenue, 100 and 98 Streets
- Improvements to park spaces, including Tubby Bateman and Fred A. Moire Parks
- Enhancing and improving pedestrian crossings
- Discussion of Councillor Ben Henderson’s motion to have Strathcona streets designed for 30 km/h speed limits in the neighbourhood
Your input will be needed to help get to a final concept plan for September 2018.
When: Wednesday, June 20, 2018
Where: St. Basil’s Cultural Centre, 10819 71 Avenue
Drop-In format: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
If you can’t make it out on June 20, there will be further opportunities for input and feedback throughout the summer. Sign up for our community league newsletter to make sure you don’t miss out on sharing your voice (find the sign-up box down in the footer of this website).
