Art in the Community – The Centennial Mural Project

Fifteen years ago in 2004, Edmonton was celebrating its centennial year.  The now-defunct Old Strathcona Foundation initiated a project to create public art on local utility boxes to mark the occasion.  Most of these murals are still visible although, sadly, many have been vandalized by taggers.  Click on the link to view these and learn more about them and the artists who created them.  Old Strathcona Centennial Mural Project
