Basking in the Sun!

Thanks to a grant through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre, the SCCL was excited to have its solar panels up and running this year. Now the league gets to bask in the power it’s generating, offsetting greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to the City’s climate transition.

How has the first year been going? The panels have generated 31.72 MWh of electricity, offsetting 23.32 tonnes of CO2, which is equivalent to 1,166 trees, or 96,000 lights! In August alone, the league offset over $750 in power costs!
