Bike Seminars this month
Confirmed for Saturday, June 12, 10-11 am
Presenter: Molly Turnbull, Project Coordinator, Bike Edmonton
Topics to be addressed:
- Who / what is Bike Edmonton
- Mechanical ABCs (air, brakes, chain)
- Safety: it’s more than wearing a helmet
- Manoeuvring on the road
- Fitting a bike for comfort and safety (may be a separate session. TBA)
This will be a 45-minute visual slide presentation with some video, which Molly will talk us through, followed by a Q&A. It is aimed at the casual / new rider, but experienced riders benefit because it will help them with the new/casual riders in their life who pester them for advice!
The presentation is FREE, BUT like all non-profits, Edmonton BIke would welcome a donation/honorarium to support its work. In this case, anything we provide will directly go into the production of a Bike fit for beginners video, which we could “present” and/or promote to Challenge participants as a perk for participating.
