Bus Rapid Transit Survey

As part of the Mass Transit Initiative, the City of Edmonton is expanding its transit network by adding Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) routes to complement current bus routes and Light Rail Transit (LRT) in providing faster, efficient and sustainable travel options as our city’s population grows.
BRT typically features dedicated travel lanes (where possible), priority at intersections and upgraded stations for faster and more reliable service. The BRT service provides high-speed travel between urban nodes and main corridors, with only key stops along the way.
The project includes the development of concept plans for two BRT routes:
+ BRT Route B1 – Castle Downs to Century Park via Downtown
+ BRT Route B2 – West Edmonton Mall to Bonnie Doon via University of Alberta
The city is currently inviting public feedback on BRT Routes B1 and B2. The survey is open until December 5.
