Join the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society and the Strathcona Community League as they host the Communities of The Medicine Wheel event. Learn about Indigenous teachings and share knowledge.

The Medicine Wheel will be used to show the diversity of our neighbourhoods and communities. Participants will use the medicine wheel as a tool of self reflection and an opportunity to discuss racism and inclusion at the neighborhood level. Everyone is represented in the medicine wheel.

Instructors from the Bent Arrow Cultural Team will be leading teaching and activities:
1 pm: Introduction and smudge 
1:20 pm: Teaching and activity (using pen and paper to create personalized medicine wheels to explore wellbeing and balance)
1:45 pm -1:55 pm: Break 
1:55 pm: Share medicine wheels made with each other
2:10 pm – 2:25 pm: Questions
2:25 pm:  Goodbye
