Volunteer for Edmonton’s 2026 Point-in-Time (PiT) Count
Homeward Trust is looking for 100+ volunteers for Edmonton’s 2026 Point-in-Time (PiT) Count on October 22.
The PiT Count is part of a nationally coordinated effort to understand homelessness in Canada. It provides a snapshot of people experiencing homelessness in our community, helping inform housing supports, service planning and efforts to prevent and end homelessness.
There are lots of volunteer shifts available throughout the day in different areas of the City. We ask that all volunteers be 18 or older, and comfortable chatting with community members. Training is provided, and volunteers work in teams of at least two to walk assigned areas and respectfully engage with people who may be experiencing homelessness.
