Information Session | Use of Rink with Dogs | Thursday July 25th 7pm
We would like to invite all people that used the SCCL rink with their dog to the following information session:

- Where: SCCL (Lounge Upstairs)
During the information session we will provide an update of the status of the rink and the parameters of its use in regards to dogs being in it.
The rink and dogs
The only legal way a rink can be used as an off leash area is to be involved in the City of Edmonton pilot project. The SCCL is not able to define the rink as an off leash area ourselves. We presently use the rink for our junior soccer program, barbeques and festivals. Once dogs use the rink we will not be able to continue to do this. In order to meet our responsibilities to the contract we have with the Fringe and continue to offer our programs and activities we must comply with the public health and safety regulations and close the rink for all dog use.
In the information session for dog owners we will discuss this further as well as the alternatives dog owners may have.
