June 2025 HGRC Update | Pickleball Edition
Pickleball and tennis are coming to the Community League!
Last year, the rink was moved to the west of the building (where the old tennis courts were). This year, we are having the new asphalt covered with a sport coating, then lines for pickleball, tennis and badminton will be added. We expect this to be completed by the end of July.
In the meantime, there are temporary lines for two Pickleball courts. Members are welcome to come out and play. Bring your own equipment or borrow the leagues’ pickleball nets, paddles and balls when someone is at the hall – Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri from 1pm-4pm and Thurs from 10am-1pm.
To borrow equipment, email the hall manager at rentals@strathconacommunity.ca or ring the doorbell at the south door.
One of the pickleball courts also has lines for badminton and one of the nets can be extended for badminton – you will need your own racquets/birdies.
Questions – sport@strathconacommunity.ca or info@strathconacommunity.ca
