New Stairs Coming to Mill Creek Ravine

The City of Edmonton is installing a wooden staircase on the site of a gravel trail at 84 Avenue and 96 Street. This staircase will help ensure safe conditions on the trail and will be completed by November 1, 2017.

As many community members know, the trail becomes icy and hazardous in the winter months. Citizens have reported that they must pull themselves up the trail using trees adjacent to the path. A staircase will help mitigate the hazards posed by the steep, icy trail.

Trail users who don’t wish to use the stairs can detour using the sidewalk on 82 avenue.
