Orange Shirt Day is September 30

Orange Shirt Day is a day to remember the trauma that so many endured while in the residential school system.  September 30 was chosen since this is the time of year that many Indigenous children were taken from their communities.  It is important to acknowledge this history, the lasting effects on our society and make a commitment to reconciliation.

Here are a couple resources to begin learning about the impacts of residential schools.
