Remember Winter?

Well, it remembers you!

Here are a few other reminders now that winter is finally here:

  1. The Hall and Small rink close when the temperature feels like -23°C or colder. We try to post updates but you may just have to stop by to see if the building and small rink are open.
  2. Edmonton residents are asked to clear walks in their neighbourhood as soon as possible to keep everyone moving safely. Be a snow angel and clear the walks for your neighbours as often as you can. See more at https://www.edmonton.ca/transportation/on_your_streets/sidewalk-snow-removal
  3. As the temperature drops, and cars are being plugged in, community members are asked to ensure they don’t run cords across the sidewalk. The cords become a tripping hazard and can be difficult for those with reduced mobility (Bylaw 5590, section 48). Cords can be run above the sidewalk and down, but should not be attached to a tree. Additionally, the AMA notes that most cars don’t need to be plug in until the temperature drops below at least -15°C.
