Night Out on the North Saskatchewan
Celebrate the Wonder and History of the longest contiguous urban green space in North America – Edmonton’s beautiful North Saskatchewan River Valley on Saturday September 22, 2018 beginning at 6 pm.
Begin your evening on the river bank with a mixer viewing various displays while sipping local craft beer. Enjoy “Skipping Stones” speakers sharing various river valley highlights including Indigenous River Valley History, medicinal herbs and plants, birds, coyotes, dinosaurs, land use history and future conservation plans. The evening Finale will feature a multi media “On the River” concert by Maria Dunn & Asani.

High Level Line Society aims to ramp up interest in plan for bridge-top urban park
Proponents behind the High Level Line have a singular, lofty goal: transform the upper deck of the High Level bridge into an urban park connecting north and south Edmonton. “Downtown and Old Strathcona are in very close proximity, but the river valley — as beautiful as it is — can be quite a barrier to connect the two. We are envisioning a linear park that goes on top of High Level Bridge and then uses that rail corridor.” Read more at
