POP-UP EVENT NOTICE
OLD STRATHCONA FARMERS’ MARKET
Saturday, December 14, 2019
10:00 am–3:00 pm
10310 83 Avenue NW

The alley north of Whyte Avenue, from Gateway Boulevard to 104 Street, is more than an alley. This alley functions as a street, and it will be renewed as part of the 2020 phase of Strathcona’s Neighbourhood Renewal.

Tomorrow, we’re dropping into Strathcona to talk about the planned renewal of this “back street”. If you live, work, or play in the neighbourhood, please join us to learn about the possibilities for this area and share your thoughts with the project team.

The renewal of the alley includes reconstruction of the pavement and upgrades to LED bulbs for any existing lighting. The City is also exploring opportunities for things like:

Lighting
Trees and greenery
Gathering spaces
Creative, artistic elements
Upgraded road surface
Improved aesthetics for utilities
We hope to meet you there, but if you can’t stop by, please visit the project webpage at edmonton.ca/StrathconaBackStreet to learn more and share your thoughts using our online feedback form, until December 31, 2019.
