Strathcona Community Survey | Now Open

Have Your Say! The 2026 SCCL Community Survey is Now Open

We want to hear from you! After generous community feedback, the Strathcona Centre Community League (SCCL) Community Survey is officially open.

As our neighbourhood continues to evolve, your input ensures upcoming SCCL projects, events, programs, and spaces reflect the voices of the people who live here.

Progress Made Since 2020

In 2020, we surveyed members to help shape our community’s future. Thanks to your feedback and the dedication of our incredible volunteers, we’ve turned those ideas into real action!

Over the past few years, we opened brand-new Tennis & Pickleball Courts (August 2025), launched the Pilot Skate Park (June 2026), and remain right on track for the completion of our Hall Renovation in Fall 2026.

On top of these facility improvements, our neighbourhood has stayed vibrant with community gatherings, including 6 Mini Folk Festivals, 38 Pub Nights, 9 Trivia Nights, 6 WinterFests, and much more.

You can view the full 2020 report at strathconacommunity.ca/about-league/.

What’s the 2026 Survey About?

The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and covers key neighbourhood topics:

  • Community priorities and future initiatives
  • Past participation and ideas for future programming
  • Feedback on SCCL amenities and visioning for our green spaces
  • Community interest in a neighbourhood off-leash dog park
  • Communication preferences and general demographic questions

How to Participate

Whether you’re a long-time resident or brand new to Strathcona, home owner or renter, we would love to hear from you by the September 30, 2026 deadline:

Help Us Spread the Word!

A strong response rate means better ideas, clearer direction, and a more unified voice for funding opportunities. You can help us reach every corner of the neighbourhood by:

  • Sharing the survey link directly with your Strathcona neighbours, friends, and family.
  • Posting the link in your local group chats or neighbourhood social media pages.
  • Keeping an eye out for the print flyer landing being distributed to mailboxes early September and consider posting a copy on community bulletin boards.

If you have any questions, ideas, or feedback regarding this initiative, please reach out to us at safety@strathconacommunity.ca.

Thank you for participating and for continuing to make Strathcona a fantastic place to live, work, and play!
