Update Bateman Project

A big thank you to all the Strathcona residents who voiced their opinions by answering the survey as well as calling and emailing City Council about the Bateman Development. Your efforts were greatly appreciated. Our Civics and Planning team led by Peigi Rockwell did an amazing job of speaking on our behalf. Mark Anielski led our community survey and continued to support us even from afar. The support in the Council Chambers over these two marathon days was so appreciated.
While many of us would have preferred a midrise development, the amenities promised for this development are positive. Thanks to Councillor Henderson who spoke so passionately on our behalf. Also, thanks to Councillors Nickel and Paquette who understand the role they play in representing the residents of Edmonton and who do not believe that development should be at the expense of the residents’ quality of life.
