Winterfest Feb 14th – volunteers needed!

The annual Winterfest is Sunday, Feb 14th (Family Day weekend), 2:00 to 5:00 – so mark your calendars!  We need many volunteers to make this great event happen, so help out if you can.  Most jobs are at the event, but we can use someone to pick up/drop off the snow carving molds before and after the event, and fill them with snow a day or so prior.  

Volunteer jobs:

  • BBQ’ers
  • Kitchen workers
  • Carnival games helpers
  • Cook-off organizer
  • Cookie helpers
  • Set Up helpers
  • Clean Up helpers
  • Sleigh ride supervisors
  • Snow carving  helpers
  • Request prizes from businesses

The Winterfest will be at the Strathcona Centre Community Hall – 10139 87 Ave.  As usual we’ll have sleigh rides, carnival games, skating, burgers/hotdogs/hot chocolate and a dessert cook-off. And to celebrate Valentine’s day, you can decorate a heart shaped cookie.
