You’re Invited: Engage 106-76 Community Event

In April 2015, the City of Edmonton partnered with seven communities for the Engage 106-76 pilot project (including Strathcona).  The project was started to see how 106 Street and 76 Avenue could be more walkable, bikeable and livable public spaces that connect people.

The design team has reviewed all the community feedback and revised the Concept Plan. You and your family are invited to a special event to see the plan and what changes are coming to your neighbourhood.

When: Saturday, September 24, 2016, 11am to 3pm
Where: Queen Alexandra Community Hall, 10425 University Avenue

Activities will include:

  • Review of the Concept Plan and next steps
  • Share your thoughts to identify neighbourhood points of interest (bike racks, trees and wayfinding)
  • Meet your local Fire Rescue members
  • Enjoy complimentary hot dogs from Fat Franks

For more information and to RSVP for the event, please visit www.engage106-76.info or call 311.

Over the last year, more than 1,000 people participated in Engage 106-76 activities, including:

  • Signing up as Community Partners
  • Completing surveys about Walkability, Livability, Driveability/Transit Use, and Bikeability in Engage 106-76 communities
  • Participating in community workshops to explore local experiences, challenges and opportunities
  • Attending the April Open House to give feedback on the draft concept plan
