Fringe Theatre Festival | August 15 – 25th | Old Strathcona

We would like to welcome 38TH ANNUAL EDMONTON INTERNATIONAL FRINGE THEATRE FESTIVAL in Old Strathcona

Fringe Theatre Adventures Society will produce the 38th Annual Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival in Old Strathcona, August 15 – 25, 2019. KidsFringe at Strathcona Community League

KidsFringe returns to its new home at the Old Strathcona Community League (10139 87 Avenue). Our updated location is a one-stop-shop for fun, offering a wide array kid-friendly activities, greater space to run and play, indoor Theatre for Young Audiences, and the same free programming Fringe families have come to love! The Old Strathcona Community league is also home to Venue #6, a dedicated theatre venue just for kids’ shows.

KidsFringe opening times at the Strathcona Community League (10139 87 Avenue)

  • August 16 – August 21 from 10:30am – 5:30pm
  • August 22 – August 23 from 10:30am – 8:00pm
  • August 24 – August 25 from 10:30am – 5:30pm

 

Fringe Set Up and Break Down In Old Strathcona 

The set up of the festival will start Saturday August 10th according to the following schedule:

  • Wilbert McIntyre Park & Light Horse Park – Saturday, August 10 at 7:00am
  • Saturday, August 10 at 7:00am
    • Full closure of 104 Street Service Lane from 82 to 86 Avenue
  • Saturday, August 10 at 2:00pm
    • Full closure of 83 Avenue from Calgary Trail to Gateway Boulevard including the bike lane and sidewalks.
    • Full closure of 84 Avenue from Calgary Trail to Arts Barns including Service Alley.
  • Monday, August 13 at 5:00am
    • Single northbound lane closure on the west side of 103 Street (Gateway Boulevard) from 82 to 85 Avenue
    • Full closure of 85 Avenue from Calgary Trail east to the alley. Service alley north of 85 closed up until Youth Emergency Shelter Fence.

All closures will end on August 28th.

 

Old Strathcona Residents

All residents of Old Strathcona will receive a post-card sized notice prior to the start of the Festival with further information and something special.
