Lookouts Saskatchewan Drive

Strathcona Community also received questions about the lookouts that are currently being created on Saskatchewan drive, above Queen Elizabeth Park.

“Saskatchewan Drive winds its way along the top of bank [of Queen Elizabeth Park] and offers some impressive panoramas of Edmonton’s skyline. Improvements will be made to lookouts above Queen Elizabeth Park near 106th Street, and between 104th and 105th Streets. Improvements will be made to entrances to Queen Elizabeth Park from Saskatchewan Drive to allow for better viewing and clearly marked entrances.”  Paragraph 4, queen elizabeth master implementation, City of Edmonton

Information regarding the construction of the lookouts can be found in brief in section 4 of the following document: https://www.edmonton.ca/projects_plans/parks_recreation/queen-elizabeth-master-implementation.aspx.

The plan can be viewed in detail, including public consultation, here:   https://www.edmonton.ca/projects_plans/parks_recreation/queen-elizabeth-park-plan.aspx
