Summer Yoga in the Park


Reconnect your own community by gathering safely to enjoy outdoor yoga in the park. These holistic
yoga classes are perfect for beginners as well as those with previous yoga experience. Yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation will be taught to promote balance in the body, mind and spirit. Throughout
the session, students will develop an understanding of alignment and breath while developing physical
strength and flexibility. All levels are welcome!


Location: Strathcona Community League (outside)
10139 87 Avenue in the grassed large rink
There will be access to the washrooms on the main floor if required.


Instructor: Kyla Fischer lives in the Strathcona community and has been practicing yoga for over 20
years. She holds RYS 200 Yoga Teacher Training certification and has experience in various styles of yoga
including Hatha, Akhanda, Restorative and Yin. Kyla is committed to life-long learning as a student of
yoga and is honoured to share the joy and peace that yoga offers.

Yoga Session 1
Tuesdays, June 22-July 20 (5 classes)
9:30 – 10:45 am
Fee: $60


Yoga Session 2:
Tuesdays, August 3-31 (5 classes)
9:30 – 10:45 am
Fee: $60


Requirement: Valid community league membership (any league). Bring a yoga mat to class.
The 2021-2022 community league membership may be purchased online.


 E-TRANSFER: send an e-Transfer to payments@strathconacommunity.ca. If we don’t have
your details from last years’ membership, also send an email to the payments address with
the name(s) of adults in the household, your address and phone number.  A membership
card will be e-mailed to you.
 ON-LINE (credit card): buy a membership online through http://www.efcl.org/membership
(Note: The EFCL charges a $5 surcharge)

Payment: Send eTransfer for registration (and community league membership) to
payments@strathconacommunity.ca
Drop-in fee: $14/class (please contact the instructor before attending to fill out the online COVID-19
Alberta Health Checklist form).
In the case of poor weather, the instructor will email students to change the class from outside to online
over Zoom.
